One of Lawrence Lake's oldest settlers, Mrs. David (Frances Charity) Card, died at her home Monday, May 19, at the age of 76. She was born at Finchford, Iowa. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Lee, Calvin and David Jr. of this vicinity, Ora of Grand Rapids, and Harley of Conception Junction, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Harold Hughes of Iron Range; 39 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at Peterson's Funeral Chapel in Coleraine, the Rev. Jack Card of Waterloo, Ia., nephew of Mrs. Card, officiating. Interment was at the Lakeview cemetery.
