Obit for Adolph Rosen found in the Chicago Daily Herald 7 July 1916

Adolph Rosen died at his home here Sunday evening after an illness of over 3 months. Mr. Rosen was born at Pommern, Germany, Nov. 14, 1843, was married in May 1867 to Wilhelmina Mampe. They were the parents of 10 children, 7 of whom survive. They are Ernest and Frank Rosen of Itasca, Otto of Elmhurst, Herman of DesPlaines and Chas of Princeton, Minn., Minnie and Pauline of Fairmont, Minn. Mrs. Rosen died in May 1891 and in Nov. 1891 he was married to Amelia Hoppenstadt who with three children, Geo., Gustave and Alma survive him and also 29 grandchildren and 2 brothers. In May of 1887 Mr. Rosen came to America and has been a resident of this vicinity ever since. The funeral was held at one o'clock Thursday from St. Luke's Lutheran church, Rev. Zersen conducting the service. Burial at St. Luke's cemetery.
