Funeral services were held today at 2 at Cole and Maud Chapel for Robert James Cartmill, 64, who died Friday at his home at 236 E. Date Ave. Rev. Donald Mitchell, of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church, officiated.
Mr. Cartmill was born Dec. 11, 1901 in Sidney, Iowa. He moved to Arizona in 1929. He has been a resident of Casa Grande since 1934. He was a mechanic and at one time served as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Lena, of Casa Grande; his brothers, Charles, of Phoenix, and Augustus, of Los Angeles; his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mattes, of Sidney, IA; and a number of nieces and nephews, all out of state.
Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
