Walter Lee Vance, age 86, of Plumtree passed away on Sunday July 10, 2011 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1925 a son of the late Ervin Wesley and Susannah Vance.
Walter was a member of Blevins Creek Freewill Baptist Church and served during WWII in the United States Navy.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wives, Nancy Teaster Vance and Macy Puckett Vance; son, Paul Robert Vance and wife Cynthia Parker; sisters, Delzie France, Elsie "Kitanner" Vance, Bessie "Booper" Vance, Bonnie Burleson Lutnam; brothers, Herbert Vance, Sr. and Kermit "Peanut" Vance.
Walter has left to cherish his memory: his daughter and son-in-law, Nedra Sue and David Charles Vance of Plumtree; sons and daughters-in-law, David Lee and Trina Pearl Vance of Leesburg, FL., Charles Cecil and Shirl Vance of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Traci Grindstaff-Stines and husband Kris of Plumtree, Vicki Vance Mitchell and husband Richard of Canton, OH, Paula Grindstaff Callahan and husband Darrell of Elizabethton, TN, Brenda Byrd and husband Lowell of Canton, OH., Bruce Anthony Vance also of Canton, OH; 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Walter Lee Vance will be conducted on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Minneapolis United Methodist Church.
