Bill Blecha, 74, of Canon City, CO, formerly of Swink, CO passed away Nov. 3, 2020 in Pueblo, CO. He was born on April 3, 1946 to Adolph & Jessie May (Hoover) Blecha in La Junta. He married Rita Strain in 1995 in Las Vegas, NV.

Bill graduated from Swink High School in 1964; served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for the Santa Fe Rail Road in the signal department for 41 years. Retiring as a supervisor on April 3, 2006. Bill is a Past Exalted Ruler of the La Junta Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Rita of the Canon City home; son, Willy Blecha of Craig, CO; granddaughter, Mariah (A.J.) Quick of Cheraw, CO; great-grandchildren, Maisen, Lexi, and Aiden; brother, Jerre Blecha of Lamar, CO; sisters, Charlene Cullinane of Wichita, KS and Mary Ellen (Kemper) Hampton of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces & nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Blecha.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Hicks officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice of Pueblo, 1721 West, US-50 Suite 200, Pueblo, CO, 81008 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org) direct or through the funeral home.
