Charles Edward "Chuck" Shotliff, age 66, of Austin, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Home in Albert Lea.
Charles was born July 13, 1941, in Stacyville, Iowa, the son of Robert Burton Shotliff and Luella Cathleen (Meyer) Shotliff
He served in the Army from February 18, 1964, to February 11, 1966. On October 4, 1964, he married Barbara Ruth Lurud, the daughter of Herbert Lerud and Ruth (Berndt) Lerud. Mr. Shotliff was an independent truck driver. He enjoyed golf, pool and hunting. They had one daughter DeeAnn Barbara Shotliff born May 15, 1960. She married Virgil Odean Slinde II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dee Slinde of Minneapolis; and a brother, Clark of Canon City, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
