Born in Brunswick County on January 3, 1951, he was a son of the late Winson McDonald and Wilma Carlisle McDonald.
He retired from the Brunswick County Maintenance Division as a mechanic and wrecker operator.
Charles was a simple man that loved his family. His hobbies included drag racing and playing country music.
Surviving are his son, Chezley McDonald (Anna), Supply, NC; sisters, Linda Grice, Supply, NC and Wanda Thomas, Fayetteville, NC; granddaughter, Emma Grace McDonald, who always made him happy; a niece and several nephews as well as other family.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 7:00 pm in Ocean View Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, Supply, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Social distancing and wearing of masks will be observed.
