Aug 6 1862, Enlisted into Company: K Regiment: 100th OHIO. Rank Out: PRIVATE Captured on September 8, 1863 at The Battle of Limestone Station, a skirmish between the 100th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry and over 1000 of Gen. Alfred E. Jackson's troops. Out of ammunition and surrounded, the 100th was forced to surrender. Paroled in March of 1864.
