Marie Reeves, Gore resident, was born October 25, 1934 in Fairfax, OK the daughter of John Emery and Ora Tennessee (Norton) James. She passed from this life to her Heavenly home on November 3, 2020 in Vian. She was 86 years of age.

Marie was married to Eules Reeves in West Plains, MO on December 16, 1950. She spent most of her life in Gore, moving there with her family in 1959. She worked for the Fort Gibson Nursing Home and later the Vian Nursing Home for many years. She loved working with her flower gardens. She also did a lot of canning from her garden. She was a hard worker and a faithful praying Christian woman.

Surviving are her four children, John Archie Reeves and wife Susan of Gore, OK, Carl Lee Reeves and wife Carolyn of Redland Community, OK, Debbie Qualls and husband Loyd of Gore, OK and Kirk Aaron Reeves and wife Cindy of Cameron, OK; three brothers Richard James of California, Gene James of Coweta, OK and Donald James of Dewey, OK; one sister Walsie Barnes of Gore, OK; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandson John Archie Reeves Jr.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday November 6, 2020 at Gum Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Viewing will be Thursday at the Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore from 10 am to 8 pm.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Vian Nursing and Rehab and Elara Hospice for the care and comfort they provided for their mother.
