Benson Lee Anable, 54, of Texarkana, Texas left us on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born May 19, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas to John Edd Anable and Patsy Medcalf Anable.

Benson was full of life; active and always ready for an adventure. He was a voracious reader, deeply contemplative and a critical thinker. His connection to the Divine was interior and private but evidenced in how he loved. Benson was a tender soul who could find beauty in any place or situation and always pointed other toward that beauty and light. Known as Fish to his friends, he was the funniest, most insightful and compassionate man most will ever meet.

Benson was preceded in death by his daddy, John Edd Anable; granddaddy and grandmommy, Ben and Jessie Medcalf; and his stepdad, Patty Skelton.

Survivors: mother, Patsy Skelton of Texarkana, TX; wife, Krista Starnes of Little Rock, AR; brother, Wesley Powell of Mobile, AL; children, Katie Williams of Arkadelphia, AR, Jacob Anable of Hope, AR, Brian Christopher Butler, Skyler Benson Anable and Devon Anable of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Brock, Binx, Cruz and Greyson; three nieces; and his closest friends, Kelly Hancock, Jaret Everett, Scott Mills and Monroe Lindley.

The family will host a memorial service for friends and family at Rocky Creek Outdoors in Texarkana, Texas on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Still pending are arrangements for graveside services at South Fork Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas with Bro. Matthew Butler of First Bikers Church officiating.
