Robert Kirchgraber 88 of Spencer passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Owen Valley Health Campus. He was born July 25, 1918 in Texarkana, TX to John and Catherine (Shannon) Kirchgraber. Mr. Kirchgraber was a retired Head Librarian at the Belleville, IL Public Library. He was an ordained Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Spencer. He was a stamp collector and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Kirchgraber is survived by his wife of 52 years Nancy (Brumfield) Kirchgraber, son Stephan (Rosa) Kirchgraber of New York City, NY, daughters Anne (Dennis) Kirchgraber-McKee of Spencer, Gerilynn (Michael) Warner of Lafayette, and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert Kirchgraber, Joseph Kirchgraber and sister Catherine Merrill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 14, 2007 at St. Jude's Catholic Church with Father Paul Dede officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
