Glenda was the daughter of Hugh Benton "Ben" Qualls and Josephine "Josie" Brown Qualls.

Glenda was married to Alvis Anderson Bryan, April 23, 1938 in Sweetwater, Texas. They had 5 children.

Glenda Qualls Bryan, 79, of Cedar Hill, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997.
Mrs. Bryan was born March 7, 1918 in Benjamin, Texas. She met her husband Alvis at the Northside Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas. After a short courtship, wthey were married in 1938 in Sweetwater, Texas. With her husband, she began a long life of Christian service as a minister's wife in various churches throughout the country. The Bryan's began their church ministry in the small community of Toler, Texas and after a brief but effective work there, they later labored in congregations in Rochester, O'Donnell, Seagraves and Lubbock. Texas. In 1950, the Bryan's moved to the state of Vermont and established congregations in Barre and Montpelier and other places in the New England area. The Bryan's returned to Texas in 1964 and served churches in Duncanville, Red Oak and Cedar Hill.
Mrs. Bryan is lovingly remembered for a life typified by constant love and service to friends, family and the church. She touched the lives of thousands with her loving faith. Her Christian fruit and influence in churches of Christ in unique among women of her generation. She will be deeply missed by friends around the world.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 1997 in the Cedar Hill Church of Christ, 535 S. Clark Road under the direction of David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home in Duncanville. Steve Lewis, Mitch Lindsey and Fred Yarbrough will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvis Bryan of Cedar Hill; four sons, Jerry Bryan of Duncanville, David Randal Bryan of Hampton, N.J., James A. Bryan of Cedar Hill and Stan Bryan of Welch, Okla.; one daughter, Melissa Mason of Whitney; one sister, Adelle Smith of Duncanville; and two brothers, Jack Qualls of Abilene and Joe Qualls of Cleburne.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home
