She was a member of the Horse Shoe First Baptist Church. After 40 yearsí service, she retired from the American Enka Corporation. She enjoyed bingo and fishing.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, Daniel Lanning; two daughters, Abby Moore and husband, Doug, of Weaverville, and Bridgette Foster and husband, Tim; four grandchildren, Spencer Moore, Daniel, Jordan, and Dillon Foster of Laurel Park; four sisters, Teresa Ledbetter and husband, Tom; Brenda Newman and husband, Jimmie; Rita Metcalf and husband, Marvin, all of Hendersonville, and Barbie Koening and husband, Larry of Gastonia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held.
