OBITUARY: Eva Hutson Foust, 84, of Norma, passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 1989, at her home. Mrs. Foust was the daughter of the late J. C. Hutson and the late Pheba York Hutson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Horace McKinley Foust; one infant daughter, Erva Mae Foust; one son, Donald Glen Foust; two sisters: Rebecca Brummett and Della York; five brothers: Alex Hutson, Billy Hutson, Fealin Hutson, Carter Hutson, and Ed Hutson; and two great-grandsons: Donald Glen Foust and Finn LaRue IV. She was a longtime member of the Norma Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters: Elsie Luttrell, Anna LaGarce and Addie Duncan Phillips, all of Knoxville, and Shirley T. Phillips of the Pine Hill community; four sons: Joe Henry Foust of Jellico, and McKinley Foust and Elzo Foust, both of Knoxville, and Odell Foust of Oneida; two brothers, Joe Hutson of Norma, and Frank Hutson of Jamestown; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Norma Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Sexton and Rev. James Clifton Pennington officiating. The Lawson Sisters will sing. Burial will follow in the Norma Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home in Oneida was in charge of the arrangements. (Source: The Scott County News, 11 May 1989, p15).
