Joe Stephen "Steve" Heiselbetz, Sr.

Joe "Steve" Heiselbetz, Sr, 62, of Fred, Texas, passed away October 18, 2020.

Steve was born May 21, 1958 to his parents, Herman G. Heiselbetz and Aggie Gordon- Heiselbetz in Beaumont, Texas.

Steve was a devoted Christian who avidly read the Bible. He will be lovingly remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and so much more to so many other loving family members and friends. Steve graduated from Warren High School in 1976 where he met the love of his life, Linessa Callaway. Steve and Linessa were married in 1977 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Fred. He was a wonderful provider and worked for Exxon Mobile as a process operator until his retirement. Steve enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the outdoors especially camping, hunting, and fishing with his family. Steve loved spending time with his grandchildren as so many grandfathers do. Grandchildren often bring a spark of life and joy into their grandparent’s hearts. This holds true in the relationship Steve had with his grandchildren. Steve’s family is deeply saddened by their loss but find comfort in knowing he has joined his Lord and Savior.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Linessa Heiselbetz; his son, Joe Heiselbetz Jr and wife, Tracie; his son, Ryan Heiselbetz; his grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Heiselbetz; his parents, Herman and Aggie Heiselbetz; his brother, Gordon Heiselbetz and wife, Kim; his sister, Brenda Jenkins and husband Bob; his sister-in-law, Joann Dean: his brother-in-law, Dudley Callaway; his nephews, Chris Callaway and wife Shelby, Luke Callaway, Jordan Jenkins, and Hank Heiselbetz; his nieces, Katie Callaway, Janna Jenkins, and Sarah Heiselbetz.

Steve is preceded in death by his son, Joshua A. Heiselbetz
