Son of George & Emma (Berg) Adams


He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Emma High Adams in January 1959 & his 2nd wife Ella Schlegel Adams in June 1969.


He was the last of his immediate family, six brothers & six sisters also having preceded him in death.


He had been a clerk at Stichter Hardware Co. from Feb. 1907 - Oct. 1918. From Oct. 1918 - June 1953, he was a salesman at Delp Knoll Grocery Co. From June 1953 until his retirement in April 1961 he was a salesman at B&J Saylor Food Corp.


He was a member of the following: St. John's United Church of Christ, Denver; Leesport Lodge No. 141 IOOF and Washington Camp 165 of POS of A., both of Leesport; Lodge No. 62 F&AM Reading; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32, Valley of Reading; Rajah Temple AAONMS of Reading; and Travelers Protective Association.


He was survived by son-in-law Allen H. Matz; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.


Services were held at the Frank Miller Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
