Donna Lisa Quintana, age 52, a resident of Velarde, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Donna was born on June 28, 1968 in Española to David Quintana and Savina Salazar along with her twin sister, Diana Quintana (Domínguez).
Donna was preceded in death by her father, David Quintana, sister, Isabella Jácquez, brother, Johnny Quintana, daughter, María Martínez, grandmother, Juanita Espiñoza-García, brother-in-law, Peter DeAguero, cousin who was like a brother to her, Kenny Vaughn, son-in-law, Jacobo Martínez Jr., Padrino and Padrina Guillermo and Celerina Espiñoza and close friends who considered family Eddie and Leonard Jácquez and Harold Barela.
Donna grew up in Santa Cruz, NM along with her brothers and sisters, Johnny Quintana, Isabella Quintana (Jácquez), Pauline Quintana (Gallegos), Sophie Martínez (DeAguero) and Richard Martínez Jr.
At the age of 1 was when the man that she would call her dad, Richard Martínez Sr. came into her life and raised her along with her brothers and sisters.
It was here where she went to the Española Valley High School and played basketball with her twin, Diana. While in school she met a very good friend, Desiree Pacheco who then introduced her to the man, Marvin Pacheco Sr. who would be the father to her two children, Martina and Marvin Pacheco. Years later her youngest daughter, María Martínez came along.
Donna was the type of person who would let everyone know she was there and who she was. Donna always had a big heart and would always be willing to help anyone. Donna will always be remembered by her amazing cooking and her crazy stories.
Donna is survived by her mother and step-father, Savina and Richard Martínez, children, Martina and Marvin Pacheco, brother, Richard “Rick” Martínez Jr. (Anita), sisters, Pauline (Johnny) Gallegos, Diana (Ricky) Domínguez, Sophie DeAguero, favorite aunt/nina, María Salazar, grandchildren, Jacob III, Jaclynne, María, Eric, Savannah, Fabian, Serenity, Izaiah and Emilio and the love of her life, Jay Jácquez, sister-in-law, Beverly Quintana, close cousin, Becky Vigil and many nieces, nephews and close friends who were considered family.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
