Caroline Sue Carter “CC” (Robbins) died peacefully in Puyallup, WA on 23 October 2020 at the age of 78.

Caroline is survived by her partner Billie Standifer Puyallup, WA; Alma Foley (sister), Raleigh, NC; Condie Robbins (brother), Tampa, FL; Jeffrey Carter (Son), San Antonio, TX; Kurt Marley (Son-In-Law), Spokane, WA; Nicole Carter (Grand Daughter), San Antonio, TX; Samantha Carter (Grand Daughter) Amarillo, TX; Sarah Carter (Grand Daughter), San Marcos, TX; & Alex Marley (Grand Son), Spokane, WA. She is preceded in death by her father William Henderson Robbins, Seattle, WA and Flora (Partin) Robbins, Middlesboro, KY, and her daughter Linda Jo Marley, Spokane WA.

Caroline was born on 1 June 1942 in St. Charles, VA to William & Flora Robbins. She graduated from Middlesboro, KY in 1960. She married Robert Carter (deceased 1985) after moving to Seattle, WA on 30 September 1961 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Caroline then met the love of her life, Billie Standifer, and has been with him since October 1988.

She worked for Virginia Mason Hospital and medically retired shortly after contracting Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She had two children, Linda Jo born 15 July 1964 and Jeffrey Alan 10 April 1967. Linda worked for Boeing Aircraft for many years and passed away in 2015 due to cancer. Jeff is retired military and currently works as a government service civilian at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Caroline always encouraged them to pursue their goals and was a huge positive influence in their lives.

Caroline fought MS for over 20 years and never complained once. She didn’t let MS get her down and projected positivity everywhere and helped others overcome what they were dealing with. She was a beacon to the immediate and surrounding family. Many have already stated that they miss talking to her because of her positivity. She also had a knack making everyone feel better than they did before talking to her. She is free from any pain now and would want everyone to celebrate her life and not be sad.

A funeral is scheduled for 30 October 2020 at the Mills & Mills Funeral Home; Olympic Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Tumwater WA. Her son Jeff will officiate the ceremony.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Caroline’s life. Due to social distancing, the funeral can be viewed on Facebook Live by liking the Mills & Mills Funeral home Facebook page and look for the event on Friday 30 October 2020 at noon.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup WA for all their care for Caroline in her last days.
