Mrs. Clara Ann King, 84, of Sunman, IN passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her home. She was born May 2, 1936 to Bernard Niemeyer and Mary E. Jump Niemeyer. In her free time, she enjoyed embroidering, sewing, doing crafts, and writing poetry and short stories. Clara loved raising and taking care of her dogs as well. She retired from Provident Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a member of Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. King is survived by her daughters Kathy Lagaly-Hann and husband Russell of Sunman, IN and Vickey Meyer and husband David of Bromley, KY; a brother Charles Niemeyer of Florida; sisters Rose Wolf of Milford, OH and Margie Brockman of Hamilton, OH; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Arnold Chasteen, and her second husband Melvin “Bud” King Sr.; her son Arnold Lee Chasteen Jr.; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Graveside services for Mrs. King will be conducted Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00 PM in the Chasteen-Cope (Chasteen-Gadd) Cemetery.
