Emily was the daughter of Alfred and Maud (Kilborn) Neffendorf and was the sister of Irene, Vera and Dan.
Her mother died when she was 8 years old. Emily was a cheerleader while attending Texas Lutheran College, where she met Ernest Wilson and were married in 1954.
Emily earned her bachelors degree in Medical Technology and completed her training in San Antonio to become a certified Medical Technologist.
Emily and Ernest raised 3 children, Sharon, Joyce and Dan.
