THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR (Indianapolis, IN), 11 October 1962, p. 24:
"Mrs. Lola O. Townsend, 79 years old, 66 East 70th Street, Indianapolis, died yesterday in Clinton County Hospital here.
Mrs. Townsend, a native of Lebanon, had lived most of her life in Frankfort and moved to Indianapolis recently to reside with a daughter, Mrs. I. J. Dienhart.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will held at 2 p.m. Friday in Goodwin Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lebanon.
She is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. G. W. Mathews of Bellevue, O., two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren."
