Former Resident Killed in Crash

EL PASO – A former Albuquerque resident and two Biggs AFB airmen were killed in a two-car collision here late Friday night.

The former Albuquerquean was identified as Mrs. Naomi G. Johnson, 52, El Paso, and the airmen as A1C Raymond Moody, 23, and A1C Carlos Napier, 25.

Mrs. Johnson, a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Bailey B. Johnson, was dead on arrival at Thomason General Hospital. Her husband was reported in serious condition.

Mrs. Johnson also is survived by her mother, Mrs. Laura Gibbons of Albuquerque; three brothers, Joe B. and Hoyt T. Gibbons of Albuquerque, and Eurella T. Gibbons of Pennsylvania.

A retired school teacher, she had taught in Sandoval County for many years.

Her body will be brought to Albuquerque for services and internment. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
