Maribelle (Toney) Cole, 88, of Frankfort, died on October 13, 2020 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on July 18, 1932 in Frankfort, IN to the late Foster J. and Bertha (Hamilton) Toney. She married Richard Cole and they later divorced. Her longtime companion, Jim Thompson, have shared the last 38 years together.

Maribelle was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She worked at Mallory Control, retired in 1997 from Unarco Rohn and also worked at Knox Flower Shop. She was former member and past president of Psi Iota Xi and a member of Women of the Moose. Maribelle loved spending time with family and keeping up on her grandkid’s antics. She enjoyed her flowers, reading, casino trips with the girls and trips to the Alabama gulf coast.

Maribelle is survived by three children; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vivian Knox.

Memorial visitation will be from 11 AM to 2 PM on November 7, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Memorial services will begin at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
