Kerry Jon Altis, age 46, of Ontario, California, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at his home of natural causes. He was born July 31, 1957, in Independence, Missouri, a son of June Haddock Edwards. On December 28, 1991, in Hesperia, California, he married Jo Ann Burns who survives of the home. Mr. Altis was a member of the Teamster Local 630 and was employed by Sysco Corp for 24 years. He had plans to move back to Sedalia this summer to be near his family. He was a family man who loved his wife, children and home. Surviving are, his wife, Jo Ann Altis of Ontario, California; four sons, Jeremy Altis & wife Sara, of Sedalia, Allan Burns of California, Joseph Guerrero of Sedalia and Richard Vasquez of California; one daughter, Belinda Vasquez of California; four brothers, Denny Altis, Kelly Altis, Shaun Edwards and Shane Edwards all of Sedalia; his mother, June Haddock Edwards of Sedalia; his grandmother, Vivian Haddock of Sedalia; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dona & Jerry Simpson of California; and one grandson, Jeremy Jon Altis, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen Haddock. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Bouse officiating. Pallbearers will be Denny Altis, Kelly Altis, Shaun Edwards, Shane Edwards, Jeremy Altis, Joe Guerrero and Allan Burns. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at the McLauhglin Funeral Chapel where the family visitation will be Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m.
