Marble P was the son of Peter Boody and Catherine Nichols, who were early settlers in Calhoun County. He married Harriet Elizabeth Vroman (Vrooman) and they had five children: Lula, Dolly Ann, Catherine, Pearl, and Elton "Ealty" Boody. Marble died at age 42 from injuries suffered during a lumber accident.
