Funeral services for Arnold D. Butenschoen, 71, of 1222 Brown St., Davenport, who died yesterday in Davenport Osteopathic Hospital following a three-week illness, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 in Runge Chapel. The Rev. J.A. Miller, pastor emeritus of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Sept. 2, 1884, in Cedar County, he married Meta Becker, Jan. 26, 1921, in Davenport. They moved to Davenport in 1925. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, No. 235.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. William McCartney, Blue Grass, and Mrs. Elna Lindemann, Davenport; three grandchildren; four brothers, Emil of Davenport, Harry of Stockton, Albert of Keswick, Iowa, and Edward of Minot, N.D., and five sisters Mrs. Clara Akerman of Davenport, Miss Bertha Butenschoen of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Ella Kargel, Luverne, Minn., Mrs. Frances Anderson of Seattle and Mrs. Hulda Stukaloff of Hayward, Iowa. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
