William Henry Acheson, 56, a native of Ireland, died in December 1949. He was the son of Jane Acheson, and he had three siblings: Francis, Robert, and Annie. He enlisted as a Private in the 109th Overseas Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force in Lindsay, Ontario on January 31, 1916. He served in Canada and was discharged from the service on October 14, 1916 at Barriefield Camp, Ontario.
