Perry Fowler Dead.


Perry Fowler, 74, died at 7:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 218 Merchant.


Funeral services will be held in the Roberts-Blue Funeral home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Claude G. Large, pastor of the First Christian church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery at Glendale, Calif.


Mr. Fowler was a real estate man for 30 years. He was born at Emporia May 17, 1868. HE was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dorris Fowler and was a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Fowler, Lyon county pioneers who founded the Fowler settlement southeast of Emporia.


Mr. Fowler's first marriage was to Elizabeth Liewelyn in Emporia on December 31, 1895. She died in Los Angeles, Calif., and late he married Grace Ford, in Iola. He is survived by his wife,, Mrs. Grace Fowler; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Swartfager, of Los Angeles, Cailf.: two brothers, Wilbur and John Fowler, Emporia; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Schaefer, 1220 Market, Emporia, and Mrs. Vera Kellogg, Los Angeles, Calif., and granddaughter, Mrs. Phyllis Peterson, Los Angeles.

Rites for Perry Fowler


Funeral services for Perry Fowler, who died Saturday morning morning at his home, 218 Merchant, were Conducted by Rev. Claude G. Large, pastor of the First Christian church, Monday afternoon in the Roberts-Blue Funeral home. Theodore C. Owen sang, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn A. Blue. Out-of-town relatives who attended the service Mr. Fowler's daughter, Mrs. Irene Swartfager, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Lydia Liewelyn, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Thomas Lewis, of Hartford, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fowler, of Americus.


The body was sent today on Santa Fe train No. 3 to Glendale, Calif., and was accompanied by Mrs. Swartfager. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery at Glendale.
