Oliver Douglas Blount (my uncle), the son of Oliver Marshall & (1) Emma Langley Blount, was born 26 March 1891 in Rusk County, TX, and moved with his parents to eastern Young County, TX in 1905, living west of Bryson. Doug later bought his own land, still living east of Graham. He never married. Doug served in World War I in the 36th Division in France.

OBITUARY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SEARCHERS OF OUR PAST, PROBABLY FROM "The Graham Leader" newspaper: Oliver Douglas Blount, 65 moved to Graham, Texas with his family in 1905 from Rusk, Texas. Mr. Blount was a veteran of World War I. Survived by four brothers - W.G. Blount, John F. Blount, C.R. Blount and Dewey Blount; one sister - Mrs. W.L. Crawford.
