A Private family memorial graveside celebration of life service will be at Graceland Cemetery, at a later date. Powers Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Pastor Tim Maxa will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Social distancing will be observed. Family requests masks be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
Helen Irene Case, daughter of Harold James Bennett and Daisy Bernice (Miller) Bennett, was born on January 17, 1936 in Union County, Iowa. She graduated from Arispe High School in 1954.
In May 1954, Helen was united in marriage to James Leroy Case in Arispe, Iowa. They lived in several different places and Helen worked at several different positions before they moved to Muscatine in 1964. Helen worked at Thatcher Plastics for eight years. Helen was later divorced.
In 1974, Helen returned to the Creston area. Helen attended Southwestern Community College. Helen began working for Crestland-Coop for the next 21 years.
Survivors include her companion, Wayne; a daughter, Sandra (husband Author ”Junior”); a son, Timothy (wife Tammy), twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dennis Case, two daughters, Rosemary Case-Schultz and Jennifer Case-Mason, a brother, Robert Bennett and two sisters, Ramona Shrader and Katherine Werner.
