Richard Lawrence Austin, Jr., 85 of Grafton formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Sunday October 18, 2020 at Grafton City Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born September 9, 1935 in Grafton, a son of the late Richard L. and Mary Estelle Roy Austin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Callie Jane Poling Austin. He loved to be outdoors working on his cars. He was a welder/mechanic and owned his own business, Austin Auto Repairs, in Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoyed playing with his pug dog Gizmo. His favorite saying was, “Work hard and mind your own business”.

He is survived by six children, Deena Mayle and husband Dave, Ashtabula, OH. Richard Austin, George Austin and wife Carla, Carol Workman and husband Tommy, Jason Austin and wife JoAnne all of Grafton, Jed Austin, Grafton, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, 1 brother, Butch Austin and wife Linda, Grafton, 1 son­ in-law, Bob Panzuto,

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 children, Hallie Panzuto, Michael Austin, 1 brother, Robert Austin, 2 sisters, Beulah McCue, Jeannie Sandsbury, one daughter-in-law Mary Byrd.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 1pm until time of funeral service at 4:00PM with Pastor Phil Nestor officiating . Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland Ohio, at 1:00PM on Thursday, October 22, 2020
