Mrs. Lois Elaine Wood
SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Lois Elaine Wood, 53, died in Shreveport on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Friday, March 8 from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9th in the chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. James A. Van Hook, Jr. assisted by Rev. Judy Bazer of Ellerbe Road United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood was a native and resident of Shreveport. She was christened at Trinity Methodist Church.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, James Wood.
She is survived by her parents, James H. and Muriel Smith of Shreveport; one brother, Larry M. Smith and wife, Linda of Prescott Valley, AZ; aunt, Virginia L. Smith of Shreveport; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be William A. Pierce, Merrick Pierce, Robert Fuglaar, Leroy Deckelman, William A. Saunders and Ron McNabb.
The family requests that memorials be made to Grace Home or the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Physicians and staff at LSUMC and the staff of the Grace Home.
