Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 24, for Carol Sue (Mrs. Terry)Funkhouser,19, who died in an automobile accident near Pawnee on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Born Dec. 23, 1947 in Pawnee, she married Terry Funkhouser on Aug. 28, 1963 at Pawnee. They moved to Enid from Skedee in November 1965 then back to Pawnee later.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Funkhouser, and 2 sons: Bobby Joe and Danney Ray, and her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Russell Van Deventer of Pawnee, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charley Southern, Pawnee, and Mrs. Etta Van Deventer of Stillwater, and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Tate of Pawnee.

Also surviving are a sister, Doretta Van Deventer, Pawnee, and 2 brothers, Randy Van Deventer, Stillwater and Ricky Van Deventer of Pawnee. A sister, Tana Kay Van Deventer preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Skedee Methodist Church and her services were held in the First Methodist Church in Pawnee Tuesday with the Revs. Lonnie Osborn and L. C. Stage officiating. Interment was in the Skedee Cemetery.
