Rosemary Altimus, 74, died Sept. 20, 2007 at her home in Tempe, Arizona.
She was born in Ajo, Arizona in 1933, the daughter of Joe and Della Geiger. She graduated from Ajo High School in 1951 and worked for Phelps Dodge in Ajo as a messenger and clerk from 1952-1957. She was a homemaker after that and a resident of the Phoenix area from 1960 until her death. She was a founding parishioner of Church of the Resurrection in Tempe, and an associate of the Adrian Dominican order. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joe, and her husband Perry. She is survived by her children, Joe, Marianne, and Mike, and by her grandchildren, Hannah, Shannon, and Jillian. A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 at Church of the Resurrection in Tempe. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul or Hospice of the Valley.
