Of Burnt Hills, NY 54, died Monday August 13, 2007 at Saratoga Springs Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Jonathan was a 1971 graduate of Wellesley Mass. High School and Bentley College, Waltham, Mass. He was the former New England Tool Manager, General Electric Power Generation of Schenectady, N.Y. and Medford, Mass. He was a member of Elfun Society and volunteer at Burnt Hills Rowing Association. Jonathan is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy (Maggio) Royal, and two children Andrew and Jennifer Royal of Burnt Hills, N.Y, son of Richard Royal of Wellesley, predeceased mother Ernestine Royal, sister Cynthia Lowe of Wellesley and brother Stephen Royal of Farmingdale, NH. Memorial service Tues., August 21, 2007 at 11:00 at Wellesley Congregational Village Church, 2 Central St., Wellesley, MA. Burial will be private at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth, Maine. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, NY.
