OWEN, Eva Truslow, 88, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, March 24, 2000 in a Roanoke hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence H. Owen; a son, John R. Owen; her parents, Brainard Truslow and Mabel Davies Truslow; two sisters, Vera T. Burger, Glendine T. Lunsford; a brother, Hubert Ott Truslow. Mrs. Owen was a member of Oakland Baptist Church since 1934. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. Owen of Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Patricia O. Updike; grandchildren, Jonathan C. Owen and his wife, Lesley Hammersley Owen and Zachary M. Owen; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Owen and Luke Owen; a niece, Norma Redman; several other nieces and nephews; a cousin, B. G. Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2788 Hydraulic Road, Suite 4, Charlottesville, Va. 22901. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2000 from Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Kelly Dampeer will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
