Sarah's oldest half-sister, Eunice Mather, died on the forced march to Canada described in her husband's book "The Redeemed Captive Returning to Zion: Or the Captivity and Deliverance of Rev. John Williams of Deerfield," a Colonial era best-seller that has never been out of print.
