University Hospital, Ann Arbor,
Michigan, Tuesday morning,
August 28, 1972.
Funeral services will be conducted
at the Beams Funeral Home at 1 p.m.
Friday. Interment will follow in
Jamestown Cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 7 p.m.
Thursday. Birchfield was born in
LaGrange on December 11,1925 to
Walker and Alka (Fraley) Birchfield.
He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Doris,
two sons, William and David at home;
three daughters, Karen and Dawn Birch-
field, at home, and Mrs. Thomas
(Debbie) Melchi, of Fremont, Ind.,
his father of Farmersville, Ohio;
three brothers, James, Coldwater,
MI., Robert, Albion, MI., and Lindy,
Fremont, IN., three sisters, Mrs.
Katherine Woods, Olivet, MI., Mrs.
Lucille Dudek, Fayetteville, NC., and
Mrs. Shriley Dale, Coldwater, MI.
