Aaron Glynn Kieffer, age 79 of Calvin, Louisiana passed from this life on Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Aaron Kieffer was born on August 29, 1941 in Calvin, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denman Kieffer and Johnnie Bell Cloud; half-brothers, Roy Kelly and J.L. Kelly.

Mr. Kieffer spent his working career as a machinist of 40 years at Dresser in Pineville, La. He was a kind-hearted and devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to meet him. He is a member of the Bethel Church of Christ in Calvin, Louisiana. He enjoyed designing and building through carpentry work, gardening, eating MiMi’s good cooking and spending time making precious memories with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Maxine Bartlett Kieffer; daughter, Celisa Smith and husband David Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Spencer Kieffer and wife Bonnie Kieffer of Calvin, LA; grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Tyler Smith, Kacie Kieffer and Kallie Kieffer; sister-in-law, Sue Chandler, brother-in-law, Steve Bartlett and wife Kathy Bartlett; sister-in-law, Rity Vidrine, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are David Smith, Zachary Smith, Tyler Smith, Kevin Chandler, Ryon Chandler, and Chase Bartlett. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Conzonere, Sr., Danny Conzonere, Jr., Jimmy Delaughter, and Rick Waller.\

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Bethel Church of Christ from 10:00 AM until time of services at noon with Brother Steve Bartlett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery of Calvin, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, Louisiana.
