Mr. Nelson Maudlin, age 79, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, October 13 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

Mr. Maudlin was born December 17, 1940 in Salem the son of Ivan and Mary Alice Bell Maudlin. He was a farmer and a member of Smedley Church of Christ. Nelson loved to bird hunt and fish.

Nelson married Marietta Sullivan on September 14, 1962 and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2020. He was also preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Garrison and his parents.

He is survived by two sons: Scott Maudlin (Debbie) of Salem, and Steve Maudlin (Julie) of Salem, a brother: Donald “Donnie” Maudlin of Columbus, four grandchildren: Nathan Maudlin (Terra), Jared Maudlin (Tressa), Andrew Maudlin, and Cody Maudlin (Kristen), and two great-grandchildren: Lane Maudlin and Bennett Maudlin.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
