Bailey AUGUSTA, Ga. - Virginia Spearman Bailey, age 93, of Augusta, Georgia, wife of the late Andrew J. "Jack" Bailey III, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at NHC of North Augusta. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Nina Vera Spearman. She was avid reader with love of biographies, traveled extensively throughout, and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Augusta. Surviving are daughters, Louise Martin and husband, A.B, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Virginia Lifsey of Augusta, son, Bud Bailey and wife, Jan, of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 20 at Marietta National Cemetery with Alan Spearman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 1:30 PM, Wednesday, at Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King Street, Smyrna, Georgia.
