Claudio was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta.
Claudio was preceded in death by his youngest son, Danny and parents, Eliseo and Carolina Lucero Moya.
Claudio is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 67 years, Nora Vialpando Moya, his two children, Claudio Moya Jr. and his wife, Judith and Lupita Moya and her husband, Gary Zedalis, seven grandchildren, Margo Jirón (Mike), Andres Barros, Lucas Barros (Jeanette), Patrick Zedalis, Joseph Moya (Patty), Danielle Armijo (Mike) and Mario Sánchez, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Claudio retired from Los Lunas Schools as a mechanic and prior to that ran his own business at Peralta Shamrock. Claudio also was a life-long farmer and loved working on his tractor. Claudio loved playing his guitar and singing mariachi music. Claudio loved to travel and was very social, had many friends, loved having “matanzas” and when he traveled, he never met a stranger.
Claudio will be missed by everyone who knew him and has left a rich legacy for his family.
Services will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, beginning with a Public Viewing at 10:00 a.m., a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. and Interment to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lucas Barros, Patrick Zedalis, Daniel Jirón, Joseph Moya, Brian Sánchez and Lucas Orozco-Barros. Honorary Pallbearers are Andres Barros, Tatianna Jirón and Dominique Jirón.
