Mary Margaret Wilbur

Mary Margaret Wilbur, 82, Belton, died Sept. 10, 2007 at home.

Mary was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Kansas City, to Roy and Norine Roach Stuckey. She lived in Louisburg, Kan., during her high school days then moved back to Kansas City and married Francis Wilbur on Jan. 8, 1946. Mary moved to Belton in 1994.

She was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church and the Jackson County Extension Club. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts and loving and caring for her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Wilbur, on Aug. 8, 1995; two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include five children, Margaret Ann Kirk, Independence, Jerry Wilbur, Sunrise Beach, Kathy Harrison, Kansas City, Debi Firtzpatrick, Belton, and Pam Pearce, Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Bill Stuckey, Iowa, and Bob Stuckey, Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sept. 14 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, Belton.
Burial was in the Belton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
