Alice Barrett was born in Webster County, Nebraska, June 16, 1895, where she grew to womanhood. In April 1911, with her parents, she moved to Hayes county, Nebraska, and resided there until April 1919, when the family located on a farm two miles southwest of Lexington, Nebraska.
While residing in Hayes county she united with the Congregational church and later on transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church of the city.
On October 12, 1921, she was united in marriage to Charles Raymond Anthony, of Lexington, Nebraska. To this union was born a daughter, Arvella Fay Anthony. She departed this life at her home six miles northwest of Lexington, on Wednesday, December 3, 1924, aged 29 years, 5 months, and 17 days.
The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in this city, on Saturday afternoon, December 6th, conducted by Rev. C.S. Valder. Interment in the Hewitt cemetery.
