County Coroner Dr. James Tower performed an autopsy and said the cause of death "apparently was a severe infection of the blood stream". The coroner said that was not a final verdict, and the cause of the infection hadn't been determined.
The child, born in Shelbyville, Sept. 26, 1958, is survived by the parents; three sisters, Julia Ann, Jackie Lynn and Janet Sue Ryse, and a brother, Ronnie Ray Ryse, all at home; the paternal grandparents, Weldon Ryse and Mrs. Bertha Wiley, and the maternal grancparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Simpson, all of Shelbyville.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Murphy Mortuary with burial in Forest Hill cemetery. Rev. H. R. Page officiated. Friends called at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
