A native of Crandall, born March 7, 1946, she was the daughter of Elnora Stiner Harrell of Crandall and the late Edward Harrell.
She was a former employee at Branchville Correctional Facility where she worked as a correctional officer.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors besides her mother include her husband, James L. Harris; two daughters, Angela Newton of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Janet Merritt of Tell City; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 29, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall. Brother Bobby Campbell will officiate.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
