A sales supervisor for Best Buy, he died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at 4:07 p.m. resulting from an accident. He was 24 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Religious service Thursday, Sept. 20, at New Gideon Baptist Church, 2552 Balis Drive, at 10 a.m., conducted by Donald Montgomery, pastor. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens.
Survived by his wife, Tondra Patriece Chatman; surrogate mother, Dana Carson, Slidell; biological mother, Jolanda Gail Chatman; biological father, Raymond Edward Thompson Sr.; father-in-law, Dwayne K. Ward; mother-in-law, Patricia Selvage Ward; two sisters-in-law, Monica Ward, Baton Rouge, and Shandra Snipes, Atlanta; and brother-in-law, Roger Snipes of Atlanta; sisters, Denissa Richardson, Dawn Dunn and Christal Chatman, all of Baton Rouge, and surrogate sister, Kayla Carson, Slidell; brothers, Elward Robert III, Honolulu, and surrogate brother, Kyle Carson, Slidell; host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his surrogate father, Gregory Carson; maternal grandparents, Ceceille Chatman and Booker T. Chatman; paternal grandparents, Rosale and Raymond Thompson Sr. Active pallbearers are his groomsmen.
