On October 4, 2020, George M. Topich, 87, of McCandless Township,
beloved husband of 61 years to Barbara Topich, passed away peacefully. Also survived by his two loving sons, Bob (Nancy) Topich and Dane (Marija) Topich. Djedi of Nikola, Stana, Sava, Nina, Michael and Sara Topich; son of the late Mane and Jelena (Zubasic) Topich; brother of Nadine (Late Eli) Maravich, Anne (Late Thomas) Hearn, Shirley (Robert) Kidner, Dane M. Topich, late Mildred (Dush) Kosanovich, late Marie Boyle and late Dolores (Ray) Stiefvater.
Friends received Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, where a Parastos Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 10-11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 420 Maxwell Dr., where a service will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held following the funeral at St. Sava Cemetery, 1450 Hamilton Road, Pgh., PA 15234. George retired from Equitable Gas after 33 years then finished his career at Pgh. Technical College. He was an active leader in and/or founder of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Serb National Federation, Lifeline Tri-State Committee, American Serbian Club, Serbian Business and Professional Association, South High Alumni. He served in the Army from 1953-55.
