Funeral services for Freda Tubb, 86, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2004 at First United Methodist Church, Levelland with Rev. Jesse Hodge, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors, Levelland, TX. She died at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Levelland Nursing Home. She was born on March 18, 1918 in Carter, Beckham County, Oklahoma. She attended school in Carter and graduated as valedictorian in 1935. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received her teaching degree. She married Nathan Tubb on May 15, 1940 at Weatherford, Oklahoma. She taught school in Pep, Whiteface, and Levelland for a total of 31 years, retiring in 1980. She taught at West Elementary and Middle school while in Levelland. She was a Charter Member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a member of Levelland Music Club, a volunteer at Cook Memorial Hospital.
