Talmadge William Harrold, 88, formerly of King's Mountain Road, Martinsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at the Stanleytown Health Care Center, Bassett.
Born May 15, 1915, in Hayes, N.C., his parents were the late Tyra P. Harrold and Lillie Porter Harrold. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Luther G., Theodore and Lester G. Harrold.
He retired as a welder with Martin-Marietta of Orlando, Fla., and was a member of the AFL-CIO, the Senior Citizens and Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Hayes, N.C.
Surviving are his wife, Norine Y. Harrold of the Stanleytown Health Care Center; one daughter, Peggy Jeane Crawley of Athens, Ga.; two sisters, Ruby H. Sebastian of Granite Falls, N.C. and Dara H. Ennis of Hickory, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro, N.C., with Elder John A. Harrold officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park there.
The family will greet friends before the service on Friday at the church.
